Anderson Talks Southern Miss Offer

Defensive tackles are at a premium for any program, and Southern Miss is recruiting another good one from the state of Alabama. He talks about his offers and where the Eagles stand in this interview with

Arie Anderson is an athletic Defensive tackle from Stanhope Elmore High School in Millbrook, Alabama. He's spent the summer mostly improving his own game, though he has visited several schools.

"I've been working out with my team and getting some running in on my own," he said. "The only camps I've been to have been Vandy and Alabama.

"That is really it, I haven't been able to travel much because I'm working to save up money."

Anderson said he is hearing from Southern Miss, Northern Iowa, Vanderbilt, UAB, Troy, Texas A & M, and Missouri.

"Right now I have offers from UAB, Troy, Missouri just offered me, UAB, and Southern Miss."

He talked about his thoughts of the Golden Eagles.

"I really don't know to much about Southern Miss, but what I do know is that they have a great program and seem to be like a place where you could go to really build a future," he said.

"We have a player down there, Arsenio Favor, who tell me all the time how nice it is and he's trying to get me down there. I know they win, and won conference last year. I know its a nice school down there."

He said he'll try to take in another camp or two this summer if possible. He also explained that he is an impact player who gets after the quarterback and is quick off the ball.

"I'm also a team player too," he said. "I will do anything to see our team win no matter what it takes."

Anderson has been recruited as a defensive lineman by all the schools he's been offered. We'll continue to track his recruitment as the summer comes to a close.
