"I was on a team where I had to play many different positions," he said in an interview with GoldenEaglePride.com. "I am excited about next year because I can have a position and really focus on that.
"I'm ready to have a steady position that I can study film and also work on preparation for being the best I can be wherever I am needed."
There are certainly many programs moving in trying to bring him and sell him on their programs.
"I have talked lately to Arkansas State, Mississippi State, and I have taken an official visit to Troy already," he updated.
"I also took a visit to Troy last weekend, then USM this weekend. After that, I'm heading over to Vandy for a visit."
Duncan said he's excited to see where each program plans to use him.
"Each program has different plans for me," he said. "At Troy, they want me as a defensive back. At USM, they want me as a DB or possibly out of the slot on offense. At Vandy, they have talked about me at running back.
"I really don't have a preference to be honest with you. I just want to play and have a chance to compete for a position."
With his visit upcoming to Southern Miss, Duncan talked about what he liked in the Eagle program.
"It was interesting how fast things have gone with them," he said. "A month ago it started when Coach Duggan came on board. I love him and Coach Woz, and I have a real good feeling about their coaches. That is huge for me."
Duncan has no timetable for a decision, he wants to take all his visits, sit down with his family, and make his choice. What is going to be important to him in his decision?
"I have to be comfortable at that school," he said. "There are pros and cons with each, but ultimately it comes down to me finding a place where I can compete and have a chance to play. I also want to go a business route and head toward pre-law."
Duncan is a great student who will have no problems qualifying. We'll be following up with him after his weekend visit to Southern Miss.
