Terrance Watkins feels like Southern Miss is the best fit for him.
The talented ATH from Athens, AL picked up an offer to Southern Miss back in the summer, and the relationship has continued to grow between the two. He felt like the time was right, and today he made his commitment known to the Golden Eagles.
"They made me feel like I was at home and they did what they could to get me there," Watkins told GoldenEaglePride.com. "It is just a good place to be."
Watkins also said that he was recruited as an Athlete and will do whatever the coaches ask of him.
"They either see me playing corner or slot receiver," he said.
"I was recruited as an athlete so they said they'll see when I get there and where I fit best."
Watkins also had offers to Georgia Southern, Central Arkansas, and MTSU. In the end, he found the right fit in Southern Miss.
"It is like family," he said.
"I talk to Coach Woz every day and Coach Monken likes me and we keep in touch a lot. I have a great relationship with those guys and I'm happy to be an Eagle. It takes a lot off my shoulders to have that decision made."
Watkins will take his official visit this upcoming weekend.
