Brandon Rodgers, ATH from Vigor HS wanted to make clear that he's been committed to Southern Miss for almost a year.
Even so, he still made it known on twitter that he committed to the Golden Eagles after his official visit in Hattiesburg.
"I wanted people to know that I've been getting visits from other schools like UAB, but that I'm going to be a Golden Eagle and I'm fully committed to Southern Miss," Rodgers said.
"I really enjoyed my visit so much, I got to meet a lot of the players and the coaches were amazing."
He said he spent most of his time with Darian Yancey and Nick Mullens.
"I wanted to spend some time with my QB next year," he said.
Rodgers, who has blazing speed, will be used in many different ways to get the ball in his hands.
"I will be a kick and punt returner," he said. "I also will be playing some slot and getting the ball in space to make plays."
Rodgers is thrilled to be an Eagle and said he can't wait to get on campus soon and start his career at Southern Miss.
