Tyler Fannin is a 6'3, 290lb offensive lineman who now has over a dozen offers under his belt. If the name sounds familiar, it is because Southern Miss recruited his brother, Josh, who is now with MTSU. The C-USA family connection is strong as their dad played at Marshall.
Could Southern Miss be in the mix for the talented Center?
"Yes sir im truly excited," Fannin said of the offer to Southern Miss.
"I understand the history and success behind the program. I visited with my brother when he was recruited. I am looking forward to visiting in the spring. I remember when I visited but now it is my time."
Fannin said he heard from Coach Woz who delievered to him the good news.
"Coach Wozniak told me i remind them of their current center and would like me to play early," he said. "I'm working hard with my teammates right now and getting ready for my senior season with the speed and agility coaches."
The Mill Creek HS prospect said that he expects to play center at the next level.
"I am the starting center but I can also play guard," he said.
"I played tackle when I was younger. Coaches have commented on my technique and understanding of the game."
Southern Miss is certainly well in the mix for Fannin, who has offers from Marshall, Cincinatti, East Carolina, Illinois, Troy, South Alabama, and Arkansas State among others.
