T.J. Robinson is a big time outside linebacker who is emerging as one to watch in the talent rich state of Florida. The 6'0, 215lb LB looks like a throw back Southern Miss great linebacker of the past, and the coaching staff has made him a target.
"I talked to Coach Dan Disch and he said he would love to get me up there to see the place," Robinson told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"He said they are going to play tough football over there and I look like the type of physical guy who could find my place in the system."
Robinson certainly has Southern Miss high on his radar, too.
"I think highly of them and I feel it's a place where I could come eventually and make an impact," he said.
"I did know something about them I have watched them play several times. I know they are a winning program with a great tradition, and I'm looking for a winner."
The talented linebacker projects on the outside as a hybrid at the next level. He said he is working hard to take his own game up a notch.
"Speed was one thing the coaches really like when they look at my film," Robinson said.
"This off-season I'm really working on putting more weight and being able to still move well with the added weight. I'm working on using my hands more too and just the little things to add more to my tool belt."
Robinson has also been offered by Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Akron, Samford, and Bowling Green in addition to the one he just picked up from Southern Miss.
