Cathedral OT/DE Will Wallace, was one of many prospects on campus today for the Southern Miss Junior Day.
Wallace, from Natchez, MS, picked up his first offer to Southern Miss several weeks ago. He took time to come to campus at USM and was very pleased with what he was able to do and see today.
"I love the direction Coach Hopson has the program going," Wallace told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"He really stands out to me a lot. Also, Coach Nicholson stood out to me and all the attention he gave me was awesome."
Wallace could be either an offensive tackle or defensive end at the next level.
"I liked what I heard a lot from Coach Nicholson and I loved his views on the defensive line," he added.
"I'm just blessed to be able to be recruited by such a great school with such a strong tradition.
Wallace said he was surprised by the rich history of the Southern Miss program, and that is what stood out to him about the visit.
"I didn't know USM had that much tradition until after today," he said. "I really had a great time down there."
Wallace said he also enjoyed watching the scrimmage and touring the campus and facilities.
