St. Joseph's HS (Greenville, MS) OG Darquavion Davis took a visit to Southern Miss for Junior Day on Saturday.
The talented offensive lineman was on hand for the Junior Day at Southern Miss, and like so many, learned a lot about the tradition and history of the program.
"Learning the great history and tradition at Southern Miss was a highlight for me," Davis told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I really didn't know that the history was that amazing. They have a lot to offer on the field and in the classroom."
The time with the coaches was another highlight for the talented lineman.
"Their goal at Southern Miss is to turn you from a young man to an adult," he said.
"I got to talk to coach Jay Hopson for a bit and he was so happy to see me. We talked about my recruitment and how he wants to get me in that black and gold uniform. He is a great coach and he wants nothing but the best for you on and off the field.
"It was just a great experience and honestly I can't wait to go back."
Right now, Davis has offers to Air Force, Jackson State, and a handful of Junior Colleges.
"Southern Miss wants to see me in camp before they offer me," he added.
