Edward Ducree of Woodlawn HS in Baton Rouge talked about his visit to Southern Miss

Edward Ducree is a talented offensive line prospect who took his visit to Southern Miss for Saturday's Junior Day, and he talked about it with GoldenEaglePride.com..

Edward Ducree is a 6'2, 270lb beast on the offensive line, playing both Center and offensive guard for Woodlawn HS in Baton Rouge, (LA).

He was one of over 100 prospects who made the trip over to Hattiesburg to take in Junior Day.

His reaction was consistent with others who came away very impressed.

"It was great.  I loved the campus, it was absolutely beautiful," Ducree told GoldenEaglePride.com.

"The facilities were nice and the people were very friendly.  It seemed to just have that good family atmosphere."

Ducree said he was able to spend time with Coach Wright, the offensive line coach.

"I talked to the offensive line coach and also Coach Dawson, who knows my high school coach real well," he said.  "So, I got some good time with both of them."

The scrimmage also impressed Ducree.

"It was great, I loved the energy from the coaches and the players," he said.

"The players were completely engaged and always cheering each other on."

He's planning on visiting again with Coach Dawson, who told him he would come by his school.  He has not received an offer but said the staff told him they would continue to evaluate him and they are interested.
