Jacob Tracey is a 6'4, 215lb TE from Riverdale HS in Ft. Myers, Florida, and is also a dual sport athlete.
The class of 2018 stand-out is sure to add a ton of offers as his high school career continues, but one school has gotten in early on him and has given him his first offer.
Tracey tells us that Southern Miss came by and gave him the good news.
"Coach Nicholson came by school last week and he told me they love my size and love what they've seen on film," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"Honestly, it meant a lot to get that first offer from them."
He said Southern Miss was not on his radar.
"I had no idea they were going to offer," he said. "It really made me want to work 10 times harder."
Tracey is also a very talented prospect for basketball. Right now, he's unsure if he'd rather play football or basketball at the next level.
"I've always loved football, but I would love to play basketball too," he said. "If I could play both, that would be something I'd love to do. Playing both sports helps me with my athleticism, toughness, and agility. It also gives me something to do and keeps me busy."
Busy is certainly the word for him this summer.
"I'll be taking in basketball camps and football camps, it is going to be a very full summer," he added.
