D'Andre Hicks talks about his offer to Southern Miss

D'Andre Hicks of Charlotte HS in Punta Gorda, FL, talks about his offer to Southern Miss.

D'Andre Hicks is a big time athlete that can certainly do it all for Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL.  Coaches from the next level are certainly taking notice of the play maker, as he's just picked up his 7th offer from the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

Though he'll be playing QB for his high school, most colleges are offering him as an athlete that they see as a lock down corner at the next level.

"Spring ball was great and I started to play QB this spring," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.

"Southern Miss offered me as a DB.  All of my offers are either for a DB or an ATH on the offensive side, like a slot receiver or wide-out."

His thoughts were very positive on the Southern Miss program.

"Coach Nicholson told me that they are going to have a killer team this year," he said.  "He said Southern Miss is a great place where the people all love football."

Hicks said he is not ready to name a leader, but that his top 5 will come out soon.

"It is a very big decision, and one that I'm going to take my time on and I don't want to put a time table on that decision," he said.  "It is a huge decision and I want to make sure I go with the flow and make the right choice."

This summer looks very busy for Hicks, as he says he'll be doing 7 on 7's, working out getting stronger and faster, and visiting colleges.
