Darius Corbett is a 6'1 WR from Tampa (FL) Catholic HS. He already holds several offers, but Southern Miss is the latest to make the move on the talented WR.
Scout.com's Corey Bender said in another interview of him: "Corbett is a sure-handed target that does a good job of catching the ball away from his body. The wide receiver is a tough runner after the catch and has some shiftiness in his game as well. Corbett runs crisp routes for a young receiver."
When Southern Miss came calling with an offer, Corbett was excited about what he heard from the Golden Eagles.
"Coach Nicholson said he watched me play Friday and he really liked what he saw," he told GoldenEaglePride.com. "So, they wanted to offer me."
His spring certainly has been busy with a lot more to come this summer.
"I'm working at becoming more explosive off the ball, the spring went really well for me I thought this year," he said.
Right now, Corbett said he is hearing from Buffalo, UConn, Bowling Green, Toledo, and Coastal Carolina. He does not have a time table for a decision at this time, but does hope to make a visit to Hattiesburg this summer.
