Tyrese Slocum is a talented offensive lineman from Memphis who recently picked up an offer to Southern Miss. The Golden Eagle staff would love to get back into the Memphis area where talent abides, and Slocum is one who they've really targeted.
The 6'4, 300lb OT said the staff was very impressed with his film.
"They really loved the way that I moved for a big man, and they loved my feet and athletic ability," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.
Slocum also said he knew a lot about the program before the offer.
"The program has been very successful over the years, and a big plus for me is that it is not to far from home," he added.
The big offensive lineman said he's picked up several more offers, although he doesn't have any favorites at this point.
"I have offers from Marshall, Southeastern Louisiana, SE Missouri, Tulane and UT Martin," he added. "I'm also hearing from Louisville, Memphis and Arkansas State in addition to my offer from Southern Miss."
Slocum said he plans to visit Southern Miss this summer, along with a full schedule.
"I'll be just going to camps, taking visits, and of course getting ready for my senior season," he said.
