Tajh Sykes is a dynamic DE from Columbus HS in Mississippi, who picked up an offer to the Golden Eagles after a dominating performance at the Southern Miss Elite Camp.
His performance was so overwhelming, the staff gave him an offer right after the camp and told him how much they wanted him.
Now, he's still hearing from the Eagles while also gearing up for a few more camps to end his summer before his critical senior season.
"My summer has been going really good, I have two more camps to go to this summer at Mississippi State and LSU," Sykes told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I'll also be going to the Southern Miss top prospect day."
Sykes, who looks like he'll play the defensive end position at the next level, possesses great strength along with a unique blend of quickness off the line. He's certainly one of the biggest sleepers in the state of Mississippi.
"Every day this summer I'm just working on getting stronger," he said.
"I'm ready for a big senior season and the opportunity to really show what I can do."
Sykes has claimed that USM remains at the top for him as far as recruiting goes. He also has picked up an offer from Louisiana Lafayette, and Mississippi State is showing interest.
