Taking a look at hot targets for USM at the JuCo Tackle Position

The Southern Miss JuCo Tackle Wish List...

The 2016 left tackle tandem of Jacob Fleming and Will Freeman will graduate after this season. The heir apparent at that position appears to be the talented, but young and inexperienced Cru Birdyshaw. The staff is working hard to find a junior college guy that can come in immediately and compete with Birdyshaw for the 2017 left tackle spot. Here are a few names that the staff has serious interest in.

Malik Besseck 6-5 280 ASA college. Besseck is extremely athletic with long arms. Quick feet and the ability to get down the line and pull or get out on the perimeter in the screen game. He has all the intangibles to be a very nice left tackle. Offers- ECU, Iowa, ISU, USM.

Demetri Williams 6-6 280 4.78 40. Sierra college. This kid was a tight end in high school and is now starting to fill out. His athleticism is rare for a kid his size. As he continues to fill out and develop he could end up being an elite left tackle. Offers fresno state, San Diego State.

Zack Troughton 6-6 320 Butte college. Prototypical big, physical left tackle that will be ready to roll for the college of his choice in December. Recently offered by USF. We are working to set up an official visit.

Matthew Guevremont 6-6 305 Chabot college. Another big physical tackle that can hold the edge. Offers- MTSU,USM,UAB, He is also a December grad.

Willie Terrell 6-6 295 PRCC Originally from Terry Ms. Long, athletic and quick. Willie has a very bright future ahead of him. We have been after him since early Summer. offers- USF,USM,UNT,USA,Ark State.
