It is well known that the Southern Miss defense could really use some beef inside. Conyers fits the bill. At 6-4 315 pounds Dodge City CC Jermane is a powerful presence inside. At 315 pounds he has the ability to play with quickness and penetrate the backfield or go power game occupying two offensive linemen with no trouble.
When asked about his knowledge of Southern Miss Conyers had this to say, "Not to much right now. It's close to home and they send guys to the NFL and that Brett Favre went there." Conyers went on to mention that his lead recruiter is defensive line coach Nicholson, and that he played his ball at FSU.
When asked about his visits Jermane said, " I hope to come down there December 9th to visit. I'm also visiting NIU and Bowling Green for sure. Right now still looking in to a visit to Colorado state as well."
Jermane listed his strengths as a defensive lineman as his hustle to the football, his ability to shed blockers, and his overall football IQ.
When questioned about what he he looking for in his next school Conyers said, " I just want to feel at home when I pick a school, like my heart will let me know which school that is. I can just tell, and I have been through the recruiting process before so I know all about it and what it takes."
Conyers has been through the process before coming out of Rossville Georgia, Ridgeland high when he signed with Indiana in 2013. Conyers would go a long way toward solidifying our defensive interior in 17. Conyers will be letting me know how his visit goes on December 9th. He will be a December signee. Early signing period starts on December 14th.
