Southern Miss continues to get in early on talented prospects from the state of Alabama, and the latest to pick up an offer from the Golden Eagles is Blount HS (Pritchard, AL) wide receiver Lebarron Jones.
The 6'1 WR got the news from his coach who let him know the Golden Eagles had made the offer.
"I really didn't know I had the offer, the coach from Southern Miss followed me on twitter first," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"Then, the next day my coach came and stopped me and said that Southern Miss had made me an offer. I don't know much about the program yet but I plan on it."
Jones also let us know he has offers from UAB, Jackson State, and Jacksonville State. The receiver had a huge season last year in his junior year.
"It went great just as planned I had over a thousand yards receiving and 13 Td's with 45 catches," he informed us.
Now, the focus goes back to Jones preparing for a break-out senior season.
"These offers feel great, I never thought they'd start rolling in this early," he said. "Now I'm just working on getting bigger and faster for a big senior season next year."
