Osceola (FL) HS class of 2018 prospect Malcolm Davidson is the latest to pick up an offer to Southern Miss from the sunshine state. The Golden Eagle staff has made a concerted effort to get more into Florida for finding prospects, and it certainly paid off for the class of 2017.
Davidson is being recruited by new offensive line coach Eric Losey.
"It was great talking with the OL coach," Davidson told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"He was very excited about me and told me that he really loved my film. They want me to get up there sometime in the summer for a visit."
While he admits he doesn't yet know much about the football program, he does have a connection at the Univeristy.
"My cousin, Cortez Edwards, plays basketball there so I do know about the school," he said.
Right now, he said he's just working out and getting ready for the spring.
"I just play football and run track," he said. "I run track to stay in shape for football and try and always improve my speed and technique."
Davidson also has offers to Kentucky and Florida Atlantic at this point, and claims that he is also hearing a lot from North Carolina.
