Trey Cobb is an athletic, 6'2 205lb do-it-all athlete for Ware Co. High School in Georgia. He plays both defensive end and fullback, and could probably play just about anywhere the coaching staff asked him to.
In all, he's the type of player that colleges covet, and Southern Miss is one of the first to get in on him.
"When Southern Miss offered me, they told me that they loved the way I play and they love how physical I am," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I've seen USM on TV and I've seen several teams in their conference play. But, I don't know a whole lot about them. I'm anxious to get a visit there to learn more."
There are very few positions Cobb hasn't played on the field.
"I've played some tight end and fullback on offense, and then on defense they've used me as a safety, linebacker and defensive end," he added.
"Right now, I'm working on my game. I want to be a better leader for my team and I want to just improve overall."
Cobb has also been offered by Troy. He's unsure when he'll visit Southern Miss at this point.
