Curry Benn of Landry Walker HS in New Orleans, Louisiana was one of over a hundred prospects on hand for a huge Junior Day event for Southern Miss Saturday afternoon.
He just might have found his future school, too.
Benn left after the visit with nothing but great things to say about the Hattiesburg campus and football program, and a commitment is likely.
"The love I received from the Head Coach, Coach Dawson, and the offensive line coach just really stood out to me about today," Benn told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"I love the opportunity I'll have due to the DBs that are leaving when I come, and I loved the atmosphere of practice.
"Everything was great, it's not too big or not too small, it's the perfect fit for me."
He even was close to making a pledge to the Eagles today.
"I wanted to commit, to be honest, but my family advised me to wait and make sure it is what I want," he said.
What was it about Southern Miss that stood out most to the talented defensive back?
"The opportunity to earn a spot right away, the rich tradition, they have the major I want, and it is close to home so my family can see me play," he added. "I feel like I can come in and compete and have an impact right away. That got me excited."
Benn said he is not sure when he'll announce his commitment.
"It could be any day," he said. "My uncle though told me to wait until October. I don't feel like I need to take any visits anywhere else though."
