Southern Miss is the next in a long line of offers for Piedmont (AL) CB Cardavion Myers, but that certainly doesn't mean they are out of the running.
Throwing their hat into the ring, Southern Miss told Myers they would love for him to be a part of the Nasty Bunch defense in the future when they made it official.
"The coaches offered me and told me they want to get over there to Hattiesburg for a camp this summer," he told GoldenEaglePride.com.
"They like the way I play and my talent and things of that nature."
While he admits he doesn't know a lot about the program, he's certainly interested in finding out more on a visit.
"I'm going to come up and see the facilities and hear what the coaches have to say before I think about it any more," he said.
Myers, who now has 13 offers, said he's just thankful that all this attention is coming his way.
"It really means a lot and I'm very blessed and thankful for all of them," he said. "I come from a small town and to be getting the recognition I'm getting, it means a lot, really."
