Cameron Carroll talks about his offer to Southern Miss

Southern Miss has offered in state RB Cameron Carroll, and he talks about it with

Cameron Carroll is a big power back out of Brandon High School. At 5-11 225 Cameron has 4.55 speed with nifty feet that bely his size. He shows the ability to stop, start and accelerate using good vision. Even at his size he shows the ability to redirect and accelerate in the open field. He has an impressive skill set for a big back, and with George Payne graduating after the 2018 season the Golden Eagles are looking for a true power back to add to the upcoming class. Cameron Carroll has a nice upside and shows more athleticism than your basic power guy. Cameron is getting interest from MSU, UM, and Michigan.

Here is what Cameron had to say about his Southern Miss offer, "I Loved that they offered me and it's really and truly a blessing. It has been a long grind honestly. It started last season and it really wasn't easy. It's a lot of days when its hard to workout, but I know in order to do something special and be great I have to be willing to put in the work." Cameron went on to tell, "They want to use me as a running back and try and help develop me into an even better back. Im just so excited to receive an offer from them. It shows my hard work and my coaches pushing me to be great is paying off. I would love to thank God for the blessing and my Mom."

When asked what he brought to the table as a running back Cameron said, "I'm a down hill runner. I know without a doubt if I meet someone in the hole I will win ten times out of ten. I'm not a slow back so I know when I get in the open field your chances of catching me and bringing me down are slim to none. I also catch the ball out of the backfield well."

Cameron has yet to set a timeline for a commitment, but plans to attend camps this summer and continue to work on his game. He plans to make a visit to Southern Miss this summer with his family.
