Messiah Turner talks about his offer to Southern Miss

Southern Miss is making some big head way in the state of Florida recruiting wise. We caught up with talented CB Messiah Turner, who talked about his most recent offer to Southern Miss.

Messiah Turner is a tall, athletic corner from Tampa Catholic High School. At 6-1 192 pounds 4.5 in the 40 and a vertical of 40" he is very difficult to throw over, be it down field or in the red zone. His size also gives him the ability to come up and be physical in the run game. His size also gives him the versatility to play safety as well. Turner is also a standout basketball player and is considered one of the better guards in the Tampa area.

Here is what Messiah had to say about his Southern Miss offer. "When coach Nicholson messaged me and made the offer I was shocked honestly. I mean I worked so hard to get this opportunity and it happened."

"I feel I bring athleticism, work ethic and good technique as a corner. I'm easy to coach and I love the game of football. I'm just looking for a chance to show my talent," Messiah said.

When asked about his plans to visit Southern Miss Turner said, "I'm actually planning to come to a camp on campus on June 16th or 17th."

Messiah told that he plans to major in journalism. He is currently hearing from Kentucky, USF, as well as Georgia. Turner will be checking back in with in June to talk about his camp experience and visit.
