Southern Miss has continued their pursuit of talent in Florida with an offer to Plantation (FL), American Heritage HS, offensive lineman Zack Zambrano. The 6'3, 295lb rising senior is finishing up his spring and gearing up for a big summer.
"We just wrapped up our intrasquad game that I felt went really well," Zambrano said. "I've been real happy with the way our team is coming together.
"My summer visits are starting to come together. Two schools I know I'll be visiting are Southern Miss and Illinois. Other than camps, I know I'll be doing team stuff which is most important for me."
Southern Miss is the most recent offer for him.
"I found out from my coach and they talked to coach Pecoraro a couple minutes," he said.
"They'd love me to come up this summer and get to see campus and meet the coaching staff. Now, I'm just starting to get to know coach Pecoraro and learn more about the school on my own."
Illinois and FAU seem to be two big competitors for the Golden Eagles, as does his interest in the program at Maryland.
We will have more updates with the talented lineman to come, including updates on his visit.
