The Mercer Island High School (Mercer Island, Wash ) product attended a class at Washington yesterday to complete his fact-finding mission Now, after having spent significant time at both Stanford and Washington, Lindquist will sit down with his parents and begin the final decision-making process
"I'll sit down with my parents and we'll set up a criteria for choosing and evaluate the schools and how they rank or match up against each other," Lindquist said
When he is confident in his choice, Lindquist hopes to make an in-person commitment to either Stanford or Washington's coaching staff Of course, if he does pick Stanford, that plan might not be realistic
"I know that whatever school I choose I'll probably go to the coach in person but in terms of publicly announcing it I haven't thought about that yet," Lindquist said "[If I choose Stanford] the ideal would be to go down to Stanford but that might not work It's not exactly convenient, but that would be the goal If not, I guess we'll have to settle for a phone call "
At this juncture, Lindquist maintains neither the Huskies nor the Cardinal have any sort of advantage for his commitment
"It's all still even," Lindquist said "I can't really fairly compare the two until I get my UW classes done and then I'll start evaluating from there, but I've seen more of Stanford than I've seen of UW so I can't fairly put the two on the same playing field to evaluate them "
That will change in the near future, so stay tuned to The Bootleg for all the latest on Lindquist, and all of Stanford's recruiting efforts
