Stanford is pursuing speedster Stanton Truitt, who runs a 4.3, for its future in the secondary. Much of the country is pursuing the Georgia native, including Tennessee: Butch Jones' staff made national news by simultaneously sending Truitt 102 letters.
Still, while a number of recruiting analysts believe the Volunteers to be in the lead for Truitt's services, The Farm is still a definite possibility -- at least if this Bootleg Radio interview is any indication:
"Coach [Lance] Anderson came down the week after, and he said, 'man, coach [Derek] Mason really loves you, he's talking about Stanton Truitt.' That just means a lot coming from a program like Stanford that isn't only academically well rounded, but also wins football games."
