A strong showing at The Opening: Dallas helped Tyrell Shavers' recruitment pick up some steam

Stanford is just one of the many offers the four-star wide receiver has picked up this week.

Lewisville, TX wide receiver Tyrell Shavers had a huge weekend at Dallas regional of The Opening.  He has seen a flood of offers come in as a result, including Miami, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas. As his offer count approaches 20, Stanford joined the club on Wednesday.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, the four-star receiver has the size and the speed, running a 4.38 wind-aided 40-yard dash at The Opening. He has shown he can pick up yards in chunks when he gets the ball in his hand, averaging 18 yards per reception and hauling in 10 touchdowns in his junior season.

Shavers is the third offer to a wide receiver in the 2017 class, joining Mater Dei’s Osiris St. Brown and Tarik Black from Cheshire, CT.
