Four-star outside linebacker/defensive end and Stanford target Jaelan Phillips has committed to UCLA.
The U.S. Army All-American narrowed down a top-five on Wednesday, which included Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Thursday, he announced his decision.
Phillips has family ties to the Bruins, and the 6-foot-5 prospect out of Redlands, CA holds over 20 offers and is a “naturally gifted pass rusher” according to Scout national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins.
Phillips is one of the highest-rated offers by the Cardinal, specifically on the defensive side of the ball.
This is the fifth commitment for the Bruins, and the fourth on the defensive side of the ball.
