One of the top tight ends in the 2018 class released his top eight on Wednesday.
Camp Hill (Penn.) four-star recruit Zack Kuntz currently has his list narrowed down to Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Stanford and Tennessee.
Other schools could crack the list, but Kuntz, standing at 6-foot-7 and 217 pounds, said in a tweet that these eight were his schools of focus right now. In six games, Kuntz has 11 receptions for 197 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, the junior has tallied 56 tackles, six sacks and seven tackles for loss and an interception.
Scout's Brian Dohn provided this analysis for Kuntz:
Size, speed down the field and ball-tracking skills makes Kuntz a superb prospect. He gets off the line of scrimmage well and he does a good job of catching the ball with his hands, and not against his body. He is a red-zone threat who high-points the ball, and he knows how to use his size well to catch the ball where the defender cannot reach.
Despite not holding an official offer from Stanford, Kuntz including them on his top eight. The Cardinal have plenty of talent waiting in the wings at the tight end position with Kaden Smith, the #2 tight end in the 2016 class, and Colby Parkinson, the top tight end in the 2017 class.
Could Kuntz be the next in line for the Cardinal?
