There has been a lot going on the past few days.
To start, a few top Stanford targets are on the verge of making their commitments.
Wide receiver Tarik Black will announce his commitment on December 14th and offensive tackle Walker Little will be announcing his commitment on December 16th. Black's finalists are Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Stanford and UCLA. As for Little, the Cardinal are very much involved, as are Texas, Florida State, Ole Miss and Georgia.
The Cardinal have made two home visits to Little in the past few weeks:
The Cardinal already have their elite quarterback and tight end in Davis Mills and Colby Parkinson. The “Stanford trifecta” could be complete if they can add Little and/or fellow five-star tackle Foster Sarell, who will be making his college decision at the Army All-American game in January.
Longtime Washington commit Connor Wedington re-opened his recruitment on Friday night. In a tweet, he said he received some new opportunities and how much he valued education. Stanford did offer him during the season, but as he states in the note, he would not take any media requests during the football season. Wedington is a two-way star who is a dangerous running back. Based on his comments, things could be looking good for the Cardinal.
The Cardinal added a few preferred walk on recruits in long snapper Will Sweeney and defensive back Joe McGrath.
