A versatile prospect, O'Leary can play inside and out. He'll shoot the three, but can also finish strong at the rim. He handles well for his size and he's a good rebounder.
It's no surprise, then, to see multiple schools trying to get involved with O'Leary. We spoke with him last night and asked about the schools he's heard from since July.
"I think there have been twenty six schools," said O'Leary. "Some of the schools that have offered are UC Davis, Utah, St. Mary's, Boston College, Santa Clara, Washington State, Yale, Columbia and UC Santa Barbara. Stanford has told me they'll offer if I get my SAT up -- they said they'd want a minimum of 1150."
O'Leary said location isn't a big issue with him. "It doesn't really matter," said O'Leary. "If Boston College is the right fit, I'll go there. It's more about the right fit. Someplace where I like the coaches and I feel comfortable with them."
We asked O'Leary if there are any schools he's sure he'll visit and he replied, "I'm almost positive I'll visit Utah and Washington State, and probably Boston College and Yale. The fifth one I'm not sure about. Utah wants me to visit on September 23rd."
O'Leary told us he has set up a couple in-home visits already. "I'm going to meet with St. Mary's on September 9th, UC Santa Barbara on September 12th and Utah on the 13th.
Previously, O'Leary told us his GPA is 3.6, with an SAT score of 980.
