Bootleg Video: T.J. Rushing

This past weekend's five graduating seniors from the Stanford defense taken in the NFL Draft are a reminder of the rebuild necessary on that side of the ball in 2005. We take a break from our offensive scrutiny to talk with T.J. Rushing, the lone returning cornerback from the 2004 defense. He comments on changes under Tom Hayes, plus his own progress this spring.

Rushing talks with The Bootleg and other reporters following the April 23 Spring Game in Stanford Stadium. While much of our focus has been on the offense, Rushing is the cornerstone of a defensive backfield looking to replace three starters. He talks about some of the changes seen this spring on defense under new coordinator and DBs coach Tom Hayes, as well as some of his own personal challenges and growth. Also, comments on the cornerback who coming out of the spring has a hold on the other starting spot.
