ScoutTV: Greg McElroy (QB)

With the opening of the spring evaluation period, college coaches are getting a good look at Texas quarterback Greg McElroy at combines and at his school. The word is quickly spreading, and recruiters are flocking to Southlake Carroll High School to see the 6'3" slinger. ScoutTV presents more than three minutes of his junior film here to help explain all the buzz.

McElroy is a unique quarterback recruit in this 2006 class because he played last fall behind consensus All-American Chase Daniel at Southlake (Carroll, Tex.) High School.  The Dragons went undefeated and were named prep National Champions by several outlets, but a healthy Daniel started and played through every game of the 2005 season.  McElroy only saw opportunities in mop-up duty, but his collective clips on this ScoutTV video will grab your attention.  This film has helped him to two Division I offers already, from UTEP and Kansas, though he has yet to start a high school football game.  Watch his mechanics, accuracy and footwork to understand why dozens more schools like Texas, LSU and Stanford are earnestly recruiting this emerging star.
