Bootleg Video: Brandon Harrison

With a new position coach and coordinator, plus new players growing into positions around him, Brandon Harrison has plenty on his mind. Though the physical and mental rigors of fall camp should be enough, something bigger weighs on the junior strong safety. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the Baton Rouge (La.) native has yet to speak with his parents.

It was not long ago that Harrison was the youngest member of the Stanford defensive backfield.  Today, he is suddenly one of the wily veterans.  The junior strong safety talks with The Bootleg about operating under a new coach and coordinator, while also helping to bring along new players in the backfield.  These are non-trivial issues in the football world, but what weighs on Harrison's mind today with greater gravity is the disaster wrought by Hurricane Katrina in his home state.
