Bootleg Video: Peter Prowitt

Of the many scenarios for which Cardinal fans envision a starting lineup and rotation for this 2005-06 men's basketball team, few if any can do without big sophomore Peter Prowitt. The 6'10" center is looking to make a big step forward in his second year on The Farm. He sat down with The Bootleg in Maples Pavilion yesterday to talk about his first year at Stanford, the subsequent off-season, and what lies ahead.

It is not an overstatement to say that a great weight rests on the shoulders of Prowitt, now a sophomore, to help bolster the Cardinal's frontcourt this season.  With the graduation of Rob Little and Nick Robinson, there is an abject lack of size on Stanford's roster outside of Prowitt and Matt Haryasz.  The 6'10" 240-pound sophomore center is needed for rebounding and defense this year, and to achieve that, he will need to avoid the 10.5 fouls per 40 minutes of play he suffered last winter.  Prowitt talks with us about his improvements as a defender, and much more, as he makes the confident leap into his second year at Stanford.
