Bootleg Video: Jillian Harmon

We were surprised, but then again we really were not, when 6'1" freshman Jillian Harmon debuted her Stanford Women's Basketball career on Sunday in the starting lineup. The athletic Oregonian has the ability to defend and score in the post, with the athleticism and skill to play on the perimeter. She also showed her poise and personality Tuesday in front of the camera in this exclusive interview.

Harmon came to Stanford as perhaps the most acclaimed girls high school basketball player in the history of the state of Oregon, claiming Player of the Year honors three straight years.  That still left us a little surprised, though pleasantly so, at how poised and skilled she has been in the preseason.  A post player for Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge High School, the 6'1" Harmon has made a smooth transition to the wing position in the Cardinal's triangle offense, while still remaining a force on the boards.

As talented as she may be on the floor, you are going to be drawn to Harmon for her articulate and engaging performance in this one-on-one interview.  A freshman?  Hard to believe...
