Bootleg Video: USF Post-Game

Several areas of disappointment that led to Stanford's loss in their opener were addressed in Wednesday's 71-56 win over the USF Dons. Most of the talk in the press room post-game centered upon a couple key differences: better effort and execution on defense, as well as an expanded role and minutes for Taj Finger - who scored a career high 15 points in his first collegiate start.

From the outside view, it was a surprise to see the slight sophomore Finger in the starting lineup Wednesday when Stanford took on USF in their second game of the year.  Johnson explained in the post-game press conference why the 6'8" forward earned the starting nod, and what he does that the head coach likes.  Haryasz was also added to the starting lineup, returning from his ankle sprain of late last week.  The 6'11" senior praised Finger following the win, while also talking about how Stanford played improved defense in this win.
