Bootleg Video: Rosalyn Gold-Onwude

Some fans may have a stereotype or two of what a point guard from New York City brings to the court: confidence, skills and spunk. Well, that pretty much holds true for freshman Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, who is getting up to speed in her first year on The Farm after missing eight months with a knee injury. The 5'10" guard is as dynamic in the interview chair as she is handling the ball, as we found out Tuesday.

In the Cardinal's biggest game of the young 2005-06 season, Gold-Onwude played a career high 21 minutes in the tight 66-63 win over #14 Texas Tech on Sunday.  Tara VanDerveer turned to the freshman point guard for major minutes down the stretch, including a spot in the "starting" five coming out of halftime.  With a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, you have seen a glimpse at the Queens (N.Y.) native's poise and maturity on the court.  But only after you sit down to talk with the confident and charismatic Stanford frosh can you begin to appreciate her personality.  Prepare to become an instant fan...
