Bootleg Video: Oregon State Post-Game

In other years, a home win over Oregon State elicits little reaction, but Thursday's win was a notable one for the Cardinal. Four starters scored in double figures, while young reserves stepped up off the bench. Afterward, Chris Hernandez commented on the value of the win, while Taj Finger and Lawrence Hill talked about stepping up with Matt Haryasz out...

Hernandez scored 15 of his 20 points in the second half against Oregon State, but he talked in the press room about something other than shooting the ball that propelled Stanford to its run.  Finger and Hill commented on the transition they are making in bigger roles for the Cardinal's post rotation, with Matt Haryasz out of the lineup (ankle sprain).  The remaining big men may all be sophomores or freshmen, but they cannot play like their age.  For Johnson, there was a good deal of pride after the game in watching his players play in their roles.  The coach also comments on what it means for the "ball to go down" in a game when your team only shot 40.7% from the field overall...
