This is the time of year when you want to see players improve, and Morris is the poster child for that phenomenon today in Stanford Basketball. The gifted athlete and acclaimed leaper recently lost his starting job amidst poor play, particularly in the two areas where he has been most expected to contribute: rebounding and defense. Through his first 10 games this year, the high-flying Atlanta native managed just 23 rebounds. Last Thursday against Oregon State, Morris hauled in a career-high seven boards. By halftime of the Oregon game two days later, he matched that career mark again. Then in the final seconds, he made the game-saving defensive stop against the Ducks' two best players.
