Bootleg Video: Pac-10 Semis Post-Game

Stanford dropped the hammer hard Sunday night in the Pac-10 Tournament semifinals against USC. Despite pulling starters early in the second half, the #1 seed Cardinal were able to run away with a 73-44 win over the #5 seed Trojans in a game that was not as close as the score might suggest. The Stanford post-game press room was happy, confident and eager to play UCLA in the finals.

After such a decisive victory, there are not many tough questions to ask the #1 seed Stanford Cardinal.  They pounded a Pac-10 opponent for the second straight evening in the conference's post-season tournament in San Jose (Calif.), able to pull starters early and rest for the next opponent.  The players and VanDerveer talked a bit about getting off to a fast start in this semifinal game against USC, but most of the press room chatter instead focused on big picture issues for this Stanford season, the Pac-10 Tournament experience, and the match-up against UCLA set for Monday night.  The last time the Cardinal and Bruins battled, Stanford was upset in Los Angeles.

Check out the full and complete video of Sunday night's post-game press conference at HP Pavilion, where talk ranges from Rappahahn's role to freshmen maturing.  From the Cardinal peaking to Pac-10 finals experience.  From UCLA's "Big Three" guards to Arizona State's exit.
