Bootleg Video: Pac-10 Finals Post-Game

Big players make big plays in big spots, and Stanford was left after Monday night's loss in the Pac-10 Tournament championship game to praise UCLA's "Big Three" for their elevated play in the overtime upset. Candice Wiggins, Brooke Smith and Kristen Newlin were down after the loss, but Tara VanDerveer had much to say about why the Cardinal were clipped. Also, what lessons learned can help going forward.

In Stanford's final game before the Big Dance, they faced a high level opponent with several future WNBA first round draft picks playing with NCAA Tournament intensity.  The bad news is that the Cardinal crumbled down the stretch, while UCLA made the big plays to take #1 seed Stanford to overtime and then pull the upset.  The good news, as told by VanDerveer and Wiggins, is that Stanford can very much learn from this loss as they move into the NCAAs.
