Bootleg Video: Trent Edwards

This time a year ago, we were writing about the open quarterback competition and the difficulty for Stanford's signal callers as they tried to learn the Walt Harris offense. 2006 spring ball for Trent Edwards is a much different experience, and he sat down with The Bootleg on Thursday to talk about where he is at this spring, his greater ease in his second year with Walt Harris, and more...

For all the little details we scrutinize in and around the Stanford offense, much of the Cardinal's fortunes rest this year like any other upon the shoulders of the quarterback.  Trent Edwards has made gains each year on The Farm, and he is enjoying his final spring heading into his fifth and final year of college football.  This is also his second year with Walt Harris and his offense, which makes this spring very different from that of a year ago.  Edwards sat down with us Thursday to talk about the spring, how he is enjoying working with a healthy Evan Moore and Mark Bradford, the introduction of the shotgun to the offense, the importance and excitement of the tight ends, and much more.
