Bootleg Video: Trent Edwards

After 203 yards, three touchdowns and a sizzling 85 percent passing during the Spring Game, starting quarterback Trent Edwards talked with us on camera. The fifth-year senior singler commented on the hot offensive performance for the day, the progress made in blocking and running for the Cardinal this spring, and what he has worked with Walt Harris to achieve thus far in 2006.

There are some things we have difficulty assessing during spring practices.  Every offensive success and failure can be attributed to a shortcoming or strength of the defense, and vice versa.  But it is clear watching Trent Edwards this spring that he has made yet more strides in his second off-season working with Walt Harris.  After a fine set of practices this month, Edwards finished spring ball with a bang in Stanford's Spring Game.  Afterward, he talked about the state of the offense and where he has worked most diligently on his game.
