ScoutTV: Joe Dembesky

We are only a few days away from the start of Stanford's 2006 fall training camp, which will provide a first look at a new class of Cardinal freshmen. One of the intriguing frosh is offensive lineman Joe Dembesky, who emerged late onto the recruiting radar and finished with a flourish of activity before signing with Stanford. Now see him in action with new video highlights from his senior season.

The last of Stanford's offensive line commits in the 2006 signing class was late-developing Joe Dembesky from the famed Oaks Christian School program in Southern California.  An athletic and fleet operator, the 6'5" tackle physically developed a great deal his senior year and grew into a Division I size that enticed Stanford to sign him.  Thanks to Scout.com California recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman, we present to you today some senior film of the mobile monolith.

Watch Dembesky at left tackle in these clips, as he punches, pulls and runs.  It is remarkable how fast and fluid the 6'5" lineman is on his feet, yet he also finishes his blocks with some attitude.

"One thing you notice right off the bat is his quickness off the line of scrimmage," says Huffman.  "Whether he's pulling or he's the lead blocker, he fires off the line.  He's got a mean streak and he loves to hit.  He's a very effective run blocker.  Joe might be better suited for guard."
