ScoutTV: Tyler Mabry

Our recruiting coverage of the 2007 class for Stanford Football is not only focused on remaining Cardinal targets, but also continuing to cover and describe the commitments already in the bank. The big story at the end of July was the pledge from 6'7" offensive tackle Tyler Mabry, though now we can help bring the mammoth man to life with nearly eight minutes of video from his junior season.

When San Diego (Calif.) Francis Parker School offensive tackle Tyler Mabry committed to Stanford two weeks ago, Cardinal fans could have found excitement in the new pledge because of his 11 scholarship offers, including half of the Pac-10.  Maybe the enthusiasm is rooted in the comments and insight we gave from Mabry's head coach.  And then there is the faith that a 6'7" 299-pound athlete offered before his senior year must be a man the Cardinal coaches wanted to have.

Now you can make your own opinions on the future Stanford offensive tackle with nearly eight minutes of highlights from his junior season.  Watch #77 in these video clips which include defensive tackle, special teams and the offensive tackle spot where he projects for The Farm.

"Mabry is a massive specimen and has good, long arms that allow him to engage the defender and hold him at bay," says California recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman.  "He's got desirable size for an offensive tackle and he's very good at run blocking."
