Bootleg Audio: John Platz Post-Scrimmage

Stanford Men's Basketball is just two weeks away from tipping off its regular season. The Cardinal conducted on Saturday an intrasquad scrimmage in Maples Pavilion, which gave us much to discuss. We chatted afterward with Stanford Basketball alumnus and longtime radio color commentator John Platz on the individual developmental stories and some early emerging themes for this intriguing team.

The Cardinal played only 11 players in Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage, but we had plenty to discuss afterward with Stanford Basketball alumnus and longtime radio color commentator John Platz.  How did senior Fred Washington look playing at power forward for the "white" team?  Who is the Cardinal's best pure shooter?  How broad is the participation in early success for this freshman class, beyond Robin Lopez?  Is the point guard position improving?  Listen in to Platz' pontifications after Stanford's two 20-minute scrimmages at Maples Pavilion.
