ScoutTV: Warren Reuland (WR)

The Reuland name may initially grab your attention, but these six-plus minutes of highlights will show why this 6'5" wide receiver is earning a reputation on his own merits. Mission Viejo (Calif.) High School junior Warren Reuland is a big and athletic target who can kill in the red zone, stretch the field, jump over defensive backs and run after the catch.

The younger brother of Notre Dame tight end Konrad Reuland is certainly a different player, as evidenced in's more than six minutes of highlights from the junior season of Warren Reuland.  Warren has similar size but greater athleticism, allowing him to stretch the field in the vertical passing game.  He takes shorter passes frequently in the Diablos' offense and makes defenders miss.  At 6'5", he also allows his quarterback to throw high, where the younger Reuland goes over defenders to snare the ball.

"Reuland is an excellent receiver and catches the ball well," offers California recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman.  "While he's not the fastest guy out there, he has good size for a receiver.  He does a good job of getting open and making catches.  Reuland is a gritty player, and he can make the tough catch."

The Mission Viejo (Calif.) High School junior wideout has an early favorites list that includes Notre Dame, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Cal, Oregon, Boston College, Ohio State and Miami (FL) as his favorites.  He picked up his first offer two weeks ago from Stanford.
