In a stacked year for wide receiver talents, Chris Owusu is currently rated #10 in the West region by Scout.com. The Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian School senior, who made his verbal commitment to Stanford in June, is also ranked #80 overall in the West. As a junior last fall, Owusu caught 35 balls for 790 yards and 10 touchdowns for the #1 high school team in the nation. At 22.6 yards per reception, the 6'2" 180-pound wideout was a verifiable big play threat.
"Owusu is a very good downfield option. And he can run, showing excellent speed, especially in the open field," says Scout.com West recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman. "He catches the ball well but needs to use his hands a little more. Needs to continue to fine tune his route running."
To help show Cardinal fans what kind of playmaker is headed to The Farm, here are four-plus minutes of highlights from Owusu's junior season. Prepare to be impressed.
