Below are our exclusive BootPowerRatings™ of the Pac-10 conference. Each week during the basketball season, we will release our secret-formula rating of all teams of the Pac-10. The BootPowerRating™ (BPR) is calculated by utilizing a range of factors rumored to include: past results, statistics, common-opponent comparative results factor, strength-of-schedule, home-arena environment, cheerleader attitude and an unrevealed school spirit multiplier. The resulting rating score falls within a 1-100 scale, where 100 approximates a championship-bound team and a score of 1 is somewhere south of D-1.

1. Arizona
After disposing of the rival Devils, Lute's Lions went to Lawrence and Phogged the Jayhawks.  Leading the charge was "Southpaw" Stoudamire, who bounced back after a benching two days earlier to drop 32 on a stunned Huckleberry Hound Williams.  []
2. California
Having their Big Three held in check by SC nearly cost the weenies their perfect conference record, but that Bouncing Brit Dick Midgley bailed them out.  That set the stage for the big showdown in the desert this weekend, where a couple of wins could take the Bears to a new level.  [CyberBears]
3. Stanford
In regards to the UCLA game, let's just move on.  The big story on Saturday was the rebounding of J-Chill, and the backcourt play of Matt Lottich and Julius Barnes.  "Spunk" and "Dunk" tallied 49, and were perfect from the stripe as the Card completed a much needed home sweep.  Amazingly enough, a win at McKale would make three years in a row.  [The]
4. Oregon
Having regained their composure against sub-par competition, the Quacks suffered a minor setback when Luke Jackson tore the webbing between his fingers.  How's that for irony?  That other Luke will have to pick up the slack if the UofO hopes to return home from LA with a split.  [eDuck Sports]
5. Arizona St.
A Hellish rally in the second half was not enough to overcome a 26 point deficit, as the Demons have now lost two straight.  This is not the time to be slumping, as the Bay Area Boys are en route to Tempe, and they know those games are their best shot at avoiding the sweep.  []
6. Oregon St.
This could be a banner year for dem Beavs.  Besides gunning for a .500 season, they have already notched a sweep, and just might be the odds-on favorites to win in Pauley for the first time since AC Green wore the orange and black.  Considering the turmoil this team went through last year, the quick turnaround is impressive.   [Beaver Sports Central]
7. USC
Do you think Hank Bibby hears whistles blowing in his sleep?  If OSU gets the award for most improved, the Toejams definitely win the award for biggest flop.  Granted, they lost a lot of talent, but there is still plenty of it remaining, and Bibby is not harnessing it well.  []
8. Washington
The pups got hammered in the state of Oregon, failing to capitalize on the momentum gained by beating Stanford.  Looking ahead, their best shot at a "W" comes on Friday, as they host the hapless Cougs.  The win would also keep them in the drivers seat to defend their 8th place finish.   []
When you are on a roll like the Bruins are, you just keep finding ways to lose.  You have to wonder if this team has moved beyond the embarrassed/angry mode and into more of an apathy mindset, as evident by the hilarious sound bytes from Laugh-in.  Get them all out now Stevie, because we won't be hearing from you much longer.  [Bruin Report Online]
10. Washington St.
With only eight scholarship bodies to throw out on the court, head coach Paul Graham must get very creative.  Realistically, only UW and UCLA represent winnable games, so if he is saving anything at all, Friday's trip to Hec Ed may be the time to bust it out.  []
